My name is Dalton Notsch and I grew up in Sartell, Minnesota, where I completed my primary schooling. I always loved painting and design but never considered it a career, so I entered my first year at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire as an education major. In my sophomore year, I realized it wasn’t my passion when I learned I needed to do something I loved, not safe. Because of this, I switched to a graphic communications major.

I believe that risks are worth taking. Growing up, my parents were teachers, so naturally, that’s the first major I selected, it was safe and reliable, and I knew people who could help me get through it. Year two of my college career came and went, but I realized I needed to get out of my safety net and follow something I’ve always been passionate about, art and design. Through this process, I was able to take risks, learn, and grow into the designer I am today.
